A native perennial (May – frost) that forms tufts. A good choice for erosion control. GROWTH: Up to 2 – 4 ft. tall HARDINESS: Deer Resistant MAINTENANCE: Low maintenance for native groundcover. Not ideal for manicured gardens due to natural seed scatter LIGHT: Tolerates full sun & shade. SOIL: Tolerates various soil conditions, but prefers well-drained, high moisture soils, such as wetlands & woodlands within flood plains. WILDLIFE: Host plant for moths. Food for birds & small animals

MAINTENANCE: Low once established. Prune during spring for new growth. LIGHT: Prefers full sun at least 6 hours a day, but can adapt to partial shade with reduced flowering.
